Natural Yeast

How does it look like ? This is the small world of our yeast in 2011. Let's be humble, we are absolutely not able to give any meaning to this.  read more
De l'herbe partout

De l'herbe partout

This year it is there, the grass is well established. and we assume our rather particular cultural choice of total grass cover. In Beaujolais it is still a rather rare thing, it must be confessed that it is not at all a method adapted to low vines (traditional goblet pruning), but what a pleasure to feel life in the ground and on the ground. What a joy to see the floral diversity gradually expanding. even if it's a big job. While waiting to find better. this year we have more than a hundred brushcutter hours ... read more

2007 - Beehives in the vineyard

2007 - Beehives in the vineyard

Happy-viticulture / Viti-apiculture It is often said that vines and beehives do not mix. It's written in beekeeping manuals in bold type. So why in the middle of the white clover and the flowery bands are all these little animals foraging? June 2008, thank you to JC for his hive, we try a denial: I put a hive in the middle of the plot ... So far, they seem to like each other. read more

Millésime 2006

One more There you have it, the 2006 harvest is in our cellars. The last filled vats will be pressurized tomorrow and the scent that perfumes our vats already augurs well for a very fruitful vintage ... See you on November 17 for a Beaujolais Nouveau worthy of the name. 5 picking days for 108 hl of production (45hl / ha). In our flowering and grassy vines. A great moment, in a small team (18 people). We even found the time to prepare a rosé cuvée ... this summer on your tables ... Thank you for that to Pierre and Benjamin our German intern. Between friends Also a great first, this year, we inaugurated our small harvest with friends. Everyone is ready to start over. The principle: you are fed, housed and you go home with a few bottles, in return for which you agree to twist your back 4 pm during your weekend to cut grapes ... hehe .. advice to amateurs ... ! (just send me an email to be notified of the dates and conditions). In short, after two weeks of life at full speed, beautiful encounters and sunshine, we are starting to prepare for the primeur campaign and our end-of-year events. We count on you. read more

Vintage 2004

Vintage 2004

2004 is the year of the backlash. Each vine has been cleansed of its frozen horns. The vines reacted to the stress of the past year with a completely overwhelming fruit momentum. Normally, about 1/3 of the twigs of the year bear fruit. this year, eyes sensitive to the strange could see bunches coming out directly from the trunks ... In the spring, we had to remove the grapes. it is always with a twinge of heart that we contemplate the work of a day in these moments. We started harvesting on September 11, with 25 people and in eight days we brought in just over 300 hl of juice. As usual, we had fun in the vat, loading all our actions with good intentions and passion so that our wine is tasty with the good taste of life ;-). The maturity exceeded our expectations. The heavy rains at the end of August having triggered a few outbreaks of rot, we had to sort and be relentless ... suddenly, in our vats, only good grapes. Full vats, pumps that run ... for nearly a month ... then bottling very quickly and voila. This week, our Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau 2004 is scattered across the country. We say it is fruity, balanced, round, shiny, silky and happy like spring ... see you on the third Thursday of November ;-) read more
